| phileas unspecified USA | Deliciously wild Yes yes yes! That hits the spot, even though I couldn't say why. Somewhere in Rock n Roll Land, Led Zep meet The Stranglers with bits of Doors and King Crimson thrown in and create this, with all it's weirdness and slightly-out-of-tuneness. The details don't bear mentioning or thinking about. It's the big picture that counts! This band has understood something fundamental here: It's not about individuals. The song decides what's best. | zildjian_man Kirkland, Washington | Beach boys on LSD! Great!! This is great! very clear sound coming from the drums and I love the drum fill before the start of the verse. The verse itself is brought to life by the doubled up vocals and this emphasizes the words of the song. The accoustic guitar definitely adds depth to the track during the solo and love the way the bass comes in 3/4 of the way through, that again adds another level that builds up to the end. The production is very very crisp and because of this, its really easy to pin point very small mistakes. For instance, in the chorus, the backing guitar line occasionally falls out of sync. But thats just being very very picky. The only other critisism is that I think the song goes on a bit too long. Perhaps think about ending it 1 minute sooner and you have a great summer time hit here! Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Drums, Production, Melody, Originality, Best Feel Good Track. | 16Nov04 |
| faceUnknown Walnut Creek, California | Take me higher! Cool little dissonance at the beginning... Cool melody and lax feel! I like how laid-back the voice sounds. Good guitar solo...shreddin man! Maybe some moog stuff would be cool to put into this song. Overall, good song! Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Mood. | 18Nov04 |
| paintonmyhands Taft, Ohio | Higher than a kite She's so hot right to the point. No long boring intro. A very original song that may have a santana overtone. I also think of that Neil Diamond "Girl, you'll be a woman tune" I'm impressed by your arrangement of instruments and those guitars are cool, walking up in the "higher than I've everbeen before part" Nice Wha Wah... ...Extra Credit: Originality. | 9Nov04 |
| sosomething Indianapolis, Indiana | Avant-blues? ...The musicianship is quite good and the breathy vocals are fitting and well-delivered. I like the vibe presented in the song and the guitarwork is very good. The ascending melodic line on the chorus before the solo/verse was actually pretty moving. Good work! | Depth6 Marion, Ohio | Nice intro...Mikie likes Bass is groovy, I'm not much for the vocal style, but it is good, sounds pretty original but very influenced, a hint of mick jagger perhaps? The stop in the middle of the song caught me off guard, the solo is pretty cool, nice touch. Drums are steady, I like it. | 16Nov04 |
| NINI | I'm "higher" from listening to your CD. Wooooo! | 2Nov04 |
| From the 'B' element of M.T.B. | Obviously created by a genius | 30Oct04 |
| mooch11111 Grove City, Pennsylvania | JT-SPEED-pretty cool... I love when the bass comes into the song. It's a really smooth sound. I think the vocals could have a little more power. I like the slow drum rolls. Most drummers try so hard to cram too much not allowing the music to breath. Nice break in the music. I like how the guitar kept whaling when the vocals came back in. Even just a couple quick emphasised vocals. Quick little hollers maybe. But cool. Higher, I want more, (then a HEY!) Extra Credit: Drums, Mood. | 21Nov04 |
| faithlessmusic Southern Pines, North Carolina | Interesting. Intro is too long. Good, but too long. BEATLES...WOW. I wasn't expecting those vocals. Almost reminds me of something David Bowie and the Stone Roses would do, too. I like it, guys....good work. Extra Credit: Production. | 21Nov04 |
| KossHogg Astoria, New York | like the guitar riff i like it when the vocals come in. Some interesting stuff going on there. Cool idea, and interesting approach. | 18Nov04 |
| Starewell from Calgary, Alberta, Canada | Do you want more? ...This is originality at its best. Nice wah. | 8Nov04 |

| larsbg from Aarhus, Dk, Denmark | in the beginning i had santana ears but now i can hear you are allmost there nice guitars and drums a very dusty sound thats cool great outro. Extra credit for drums and sequencer/effects programming | 5Nov04 |
| Ripchord Las Vegas, Nevada | She's So Hot Hmm. Interesting atonal guitars. I kind of like the dissonance of it. Has a nice swingy feel. Love the layered vocals. I like the break in the middle. The song has an original quality that has good potential. | 20Nov04 |
| kato_barton Farmington, Missouri | i started to think bob dylan... its a portional balance of something you would hear in a tarentino movie, a pilot for a 70's desert town sitcom, and somthing you'd catch tom petty jammin too.... | 9Nov04 |
| jorillac from West Lafayette, Indiana | ...the music is ok, sounds like one of those mellow songs... Extra credit for the Beat and the Mood. | 7Nov04 |
| Moo | Yanana.co.uk is an interesting place. I hope we get to hear some music soon! | 14Oct04 |

| fur_china from Huntington Beach, California | Good players. | 7Nov04 |
| joshjacksonband from Pegram, Tennessee | Guitars: not bad Melody: reminds me of early 80's stuff.... ...Reminds me quite a bit of Bowie. Mostly it's the voice. | 6Nov04 |
| harveybnd Topeka, Kansas | Need to boost the drums I think the drums were a little light in the mix. Which is too bad as I was impressed how solid the drum part was particularly under all the drag triplets. I thought the drag triplets got a little carried away. I thought the bass was solid, and the vocal sounding wah on the guitar was a very interesting sound. The vocals were decent. The mix was alright except for the drums. Not bad for self production. | 9Nov04 |
| sunshine66 Falkenberg, Halland, Sweden | The song is ok....Extra Credit: Sequencer/Effects Programming, Lyrics. | 9Nov04 |
| solojosh Davis, California | Not my style It's a bit hard to reveiw music that isn't what you normally listen to. However, the arangement from start to finish is done well. For example the choppy guitar and drums goes from a lazy progression to a lounge sound which is predictable and unexpected at the same time. I enjoyed the lead guitar played on top of the verse towards the end. The doubling of the vocals is a nice touch and goes with the dreamy feel. The irony of the words and the feel of the music is rather funny. Funny in the sense that the words indicate energy but the music rebutes it. Overall well composed and it's good to hear a song with many parts verses the same old 3 chord verse/chorus bit. Cheers. | 19Nov04 |
| ponka Uppsala, Uppland, Sweden | I like the voice... The song is ok... Cool synth in the end... | 9Nov04 |
| MrMacPhisto from Unspecified | You need to tear the song apart and put it back together in a more raw, groovy and energetic version. The whole band and the lead vocalist need to push the song a bit more towards the edge, to make the listener feel the song better. | 6Nov04 |
| Interested Individual | I say, what a jolly use of colours. | 14Oct04 |
